BotX Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of the BotX Discord bot (the Bot). By invoking a command, pressing a Bot control, submitting a modal, replying to a Bot AI response, or otherwise intentionally using the Bot, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms are an operational template and are not legal advice. The operator must verify the remaining legal fields and obtain any review required by the operator's jurisdiction before publication.

1. Eligibility and Discord rules

You must be permitted to use Discord under Discord's Terms of Service and the law that applies to you. Your use of the Bot must also comply with Discord's Community Guidelines, the rules of the Discord server where the Bot operates, and applicable law.

The Bot is an independent application. Discord Inc. is not a party to these Terms and does not sponsor or endorse the Bot.

2. The service

Active Bot features may include:

• server moderation, anti-spam checks, unsafe-link checks, and audit logs;
• activity statistics, CoinX balances, invitations, leaderboards, and giveaways;
• language preferences and on-demand message translation;
• AI-assisted answers and support-topic routing;
• role-request workflows and temporary voice-channel controls;
• restricted license-key and order administration.

Features may differ by server, role, configuration, or deployment and may be changed, limited, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

3. Acceptable use

You must not:

• violate law, Discord policies, server rules, or another person's rights;
• use the Bot to harass, threaten, deceive, exploit, or impersonate anyone;
• submit malware, phishing links, stolen credentials, unlawful content, or content you are not entitled to share;
• spam, flood, evade moderation, manipulate activity statistics, CoinX, invites, giveaways, purchases, or leaderboards;
• probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass access controls, rate limits, permissions, or security measures, except to the extent such a restriction is prohibited by law;
• disclose license keys, authentication tokens, payment credentials, or other secrets in public channels or Bot inputs;
• use AI or translation output as professional legal, medical, financial, security, or other high-stakes advice;
• use the Bot or its output to infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, or other third-party rights.

We may delete content, restrict features, reverse in-service rewards, timeout or ban users, preserve relevant evidence, or report conduct to server administrators, Discord, providers, or authorities when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms or protect the service and its users.

4. User content

You retain any rights you have in content you submit. You grant the operator a limited, non-exclusive license to access, copy, process, transmit, display, and store that content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, support, and improve the Bot and comply with law.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content. You are responsible for your content and for reviewing it before using an AI or translation feature.

5. AI and translation features

AI answers, routing decisions, translations, and automated moderation results can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. They are provided for assistance only and must be independently checked before you rely on them.

Relevant prompts, messages, support-thread history, display names, and attachments may be sent to third-party AI services as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit sensitive or confidential information. The operator may impose cooldowns, file-size limits, context limits, and other safeguards.

6. Activity rewards, CoinX, and giveaways

CoinX, activity counts, ranks, and similar Bot features are in-service records only. Unless the operator expressly states otherwise in a specific offer, they have no cash value, are not legal tender, cannot be redeemed for money, and may not be sold or transferred outside permitted Bot functions.

The operator may correct balances or results affected by bugs, abuse, duplicate records, or manipulation. Giveaway-specific eligibility, timing, prizes, and winner-selection rules shown with a giveaway form part of these Terms. A prize may be withheld where the entrant was ineligible, manipulated the result, or violated these Terms.

Where enabled, BotX may detect a Discord server boost and issue an external BoosterX license key as a promotional reward under the rules displayed or configured for that server. The reward is not a Discord product, does not provide Nitro, and does not purchase or automate a boost. The operator may reject duplicate, fraudulent, reversed, chargeback-related, or otherwise invalid events and may correct or revoke a reward issued in error. Nothing in this section requires a user to purchase Nitro or provide payment credentials to BotX.

7. Purchases and license administration

The current Bot includes restricted functions for viewing existing purchase and license records and for issuing BoosterX keys by an authorized operator. If a purchase flow is separately enabled, the product description, price, currency, payment-provider terms, fulfillment conditions, and any refund terms shown at checkout also apply.

Payments are processed by the identified third-party provider, not by Discord. Never provide a payment password or full card details through the Bot. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Privacy

The [BotX Privacy Policy](./PRIVACY_POLICY.md) explains what information the Bot processes, why it is used, which providers receive it, retention, and how to submit a data request. The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.

9. Intellectual property

The Bot, its original code, branding, interfaces, and content are owned by the operator or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. Discord names, marks, APIs, and content belong to Discord or their respective owners. Third-party software and services remain subject to their own licenses and terms.

10. Availability and changes

The Bot is provided on an as available basis. Maintenance, Discord API changes, provider outages, configuration errors, or security events may interrupt the service. We may update the Bot or these Terms. If a material change affects users, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable. Continued intentional use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Bot is provided as is without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or error-free operation. Nothing in this section excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from use of or inability to use the Bot.

The operator's aggregate liability arising from the Bot will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid directly to the operator for the affected Bot service during the six months before the claim or (b) [INSERT LOCALLY APPROPRIATE LIABILITY CAP]. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Bot at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when you violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, abuse the service, or when operation of the Bot is discontinued. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, and dispute provisions, will survive.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [INSERT COUNTRY/STATE], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. Courts located in [INSERT CITY/COUNTRY] will have jurisdiction, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Before filing a formal claim, contact [email protected] and allow 30 days for an informal resolution, unless immediate action is legally required.

15. General terms

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without the operator's consent. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, any server rules, and any feature-specific terms shown by the Bot constitute the agreement for your use of the Bot; mandatory law prevails where it conflicts.
